Install MoodFolio on your phone
Add MoodFolio to your Home Screen so it opens like an app — fullscreen, with its own icon and splash screen.
iPhone & iPad (Safari)
Installing only works in Safari on iOS — not Chrome, Firefox, or in-app browsers.
- 1Open moodfolio.net in Safari.
- 2Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (top-right on iPad).
- 3Scroll the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- 4Confirm the name is MoodFolio and tap Add.
- 5Find the leaf icon on your Home Screen and tap to launch.
After installing, check:
- Home Screen icon is the green leaf on a beige background — not a tiny screenshot of the website.
- Tapping the icon shows a brief splash screen with the leaf, then opens fullscreen.
- There's no Safari address bar or bottom toolbar — it looks like a native app.
- Force-quitting and reopening shows the splash again and lands you on the home page.
Android (Chrome)
Works in Chrome and most Chromium browsers (Edge, Brave, Samsung Internet).
- 1Open moodfolio.net in Chrome.
- 2If you see an Install banner or the Install app button in the top-right, tap it. Otherwise tap the menu and choose Install app (or Add to Home screen).
- 3Confirm by tapping Install.
- 4Open MoodFolio from your app drawer or Home Screen.
After installing, check:
- Icon shows the leaf cleanly inside Android's shape mask (circle or squircle) — nothing cropped or framed.
- Splash screen shows the leaf on the beige background, then opens fullscreen.
- Long-pressing the icon shows app-style options (App info, Uninstall) — not "Edit shortcut".
- MoodFolio appears in Settings → Apps as an installed app.
- The status bar tint matches the app's beige theme color on launch.
Something looks off?
- No "Add to Home Screen" option on iOS? You're probably in Chrome or an in-app browser. Open the link in Safari directly.
- No install option on Android? Reload the page once, then try the menu again. Some browsers wait until you've spent a few seconds on the site.
- Icon looks like a screenshot? Delete it from your Home Screen and reinstall — the icon was cached before the latest version.
- App opens with the Safari/Chrome bar visible? You may have opened a bookmark instead of the installed app. Look for the leaf icon specifically.
